COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (September 11, 2026) –

USA Shooting continued its impressive international season at the 2026 ISSF World Cup in Hangzhou, China, delivering one of its deepest performances of the year with four medals, seven finals appearances, and athletes contending for podiums across shotgun, rifle, and pistol.

The performance was led by Team USA’s shotgun squad, which accounted for all four medals while continuing to establish itself as one of the strongest programs in the world heading toward the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.

Olympic legend Kim Rhode added another milestone to her storied career by winning gold in Women’s Skeet, proving once again that she remains among the sport’s elite. Standing beside her on the podium was teammate Samantha Simonton, whose silver medal completed a remarkable one-two finish for the United States.

The momentum carried into trap competition, where William Hinton captured gold in Men’s Trap with a commanding performance, while Rachel Tozier earned silver in Women’s Trap to give Team USA its fourth medal of the competition.

While the medals highlighted the week, the overall depth of the American team may have been even more encouraging.

In Women’s Trap, USA Shooting placed three athletes in the final. Tozier’s silver medal was joined by Aeriel Skinner, who finished fifth, and Olympian Kayle Browning, who placed eighth. On the men’s side, Jack Brosseau added another finals appearance with a seventh-place finish.

The rifle team also produced a strong showing in Women’s 50m Rifle Three Positions. Katie Zaun and Mary Tucker both advanced to the final, placing seventh and eighth, while Olympian Alison Weisz posted the top qualification score competing in a Ranking Points Only (RPO) position.

In pistol, Ada Korkhin reached the Women’s 25m Pistol Final, finishing sixth against a competitive international field.

USA Shooting also fielded two Trap Mixed Teams, with Rachel Tozier and Jack Brosseau placing seventh and William Hinton and Aeriel Skinner finishing tenth.

“One of the biggest indicators of a healthy high-performance program is depth,” said USA Shooting CEO Kelly Reisdorf. “Hangzhou wasn’t just about winning four medals. It was about seeing athletes across multiple disciplines consistently earning finals appearances and putting themselves in contention. That kind of depth is what gives us confidence as we continue building toward LA28.”

The Hangzhou World Cup capped another successful stretch of international competition for Team USA. Over the past two months, American athletes have earned medals across rifle, pistol, shotgun, and Paralympic events while continuing to build valuable experience against the world’s best. With two years remaining until the Olympic Games return to American soil, performances like Hangzhou demonstrate that USA Shooting’s pipeline is producing results today while laying the foundation for future success.
